Karen Halladay has lived in the Bastrop area for ten years with her husband and children. She recently became the head of Human Resources for Joseph Ivy Company, a third party administrator of benefits, worker’s compensation, risk management and personal liability insurance. Before her current position, she managed the human resources department at Stratagene for six years.
Karen Halladay has served on the board for the Bastrop Chamber of Commerce. She is currently serving on the board of the new non-profit committee, Cedar Creek Park Association, that was created to support the construction and maintenance of Bastrop County’s first county park. Mrs. Halladay was named the 2006 Bastrop Chamber of Commerce "Woman of the Year".
