Bastrop ISD’s Community Education Program offers an expansion of public education by providing academic and enrichment opportunities for people of all ages, interests and abilities, while making efficient use of its facilities. These informal classes are held after school hours Monday - Saturday.

Historically, Community Education has provided services in two basic areas: Youth Development – which includes after-school child care and enrichment classes for children; and Family Education – which includes classes for the whole family in basic education, literacy, business, health, fitness, etc.
