2007 Bond Propositions

These propositions provide funding for a new high school; a centralized, multi-purpose athletic stadium; and a centralized, multi-purpose performing arts center. The cost for this bond is $97,720,000.

New High School

This proposition provides funding for a new high school. The projected cost for the new high school is $65,770,000.

Anticipated Scope of Work

• A new 1,500 student high school with core facilities for 2,300
• Educational programs and athletic facilities to include career and technology education, sports fields and fine arts education
• The site of the new school is Highway 71 and Pope Bend Road and the expected opening is the 2010-2011 school year

Centralized, Multi-purpose Athletic Stadium
This proposition provides funding for an 8,000 seat, multi-purpose athletic stadium and funding for future land purposes. The projected costs for the centralized multi-purpose athletic stadium and the future land purchases are $17,000,000.

Anticipated Scope of Work

• Bleacher Seating for 8,000
• Multi-purpose athletic field for - football, boys and girls track, boys and girls soccer, NJROTC field events, UIL marching band
• Public restroom and concession facilities
• Dressing rooms/locker rooms for boys and girls
• Parking

Centralized, Multi-purpose Performing Arts Center
This proposition provides funding for 1,500 seat, multi-purpose performing arts center. The projected cost for the centralized multi-purpose performing arts center is $14,950,000.
