And that's what the Bastrop Education Foundation is all about . . .

• improving educational opportunities for Bastrop residents,
• supporting through grants innovative teaching and creative approaches leading to improved student success and
• recognizing students and their teachers for commitment and achievement.

The Foundation is

• A non-profit philanthropic organization governed by a board of directors made up of business, community, and educational leaders, all of whom have volunteered their time and energy to realizing this vision.
• Supported entirely by donations, large and small, from members of the community who desire to enhance local education, preschool through college.
• An education partner of the Bastrop Independent School District—sharing its vision of achieving educational excellence—but operating independently of the district.
• A great way for all of us to support this mission and invest in the future of our community and all its students.
